Why is the FAV different?

  • Indigenous peoples protect the best conserved territories of the Amazon.
  • However, historically they have received a minimal part of global climate financing.
  • The FAV seeks to correct this gap through direct financing, indigenous governance, and transparent implementation mechanisms.
